About

Growing up in rural southwest Wisconsin, some of my earliest memories are of tracing paths with my trucks and tractors on my dirt pile. I would use the tire impressions as marks to indicate roads and remember considering the different shapes made by moving faster or slower and adjusting the amount of pressure used to make the impressions. In my work today, my fascination with mark making continues through my use of line and composition to transform recollections of emotional responses at different times and settings throughout my life. Making art connects me to my experiences while allowing me the opportunity to transform those experiences.
